Premiere "Vivid" - Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie

My composition "Vivid" for the Deutsche Streicherphilharmonie will be premiered on July 8th 2016! I heard this fantastic string orchestra playing several times and have rarely experienced such a combination of joy, energy and technical perfection. It is a great honor to write a piece for those talented young musicians. The concert will take place at Stadttheater Aschaffenburg (Germany) and will be conducted by the outstanding musician Wolfgang Hentrich. For more details click here.

Eluveitie Origins World Tour

Amazing News - I´m going on tour with Swiss folk-metal band Eluveitie! We kick off already next week (beginning of September) and I can´t wait to play on stage with this wonderful musicians! Here is the official annoucement of the band :

**** Tour violinist announced!! ****

It's official: after an intense search, we have found a talented musician to join us for the coming three months: Shir-Ran Yinon from Leipzig, Germany!

Alongside many others, Shir-Ran has submitted her performance of "King" and immediately blew us away. We flew her in for a first rehearsal only two weeks ago, but immediately knew the search was over when wesaw that her character matched her talent.

Now, after spending a week of tour rehearsals at a venue here at home in Switzerland, we are extremely excited to present this line-up on the next part of our #Origins world tour, which kicks off in North America in just over a week. Stay tuned for updates in the coming days, and don't miss your chance to catch Eluveitie live with some fresh wind in our sails!

Israel Yinon (1956-2015)

My father Israel Yinon has passed away at the age of 59 on January 29th, 2015. I still cannot believe that I am typing this words. Dad died while doing the thing he loved most in the world - music. During his last moments he stood on the stage of the KKL in Luzern and conducted "An Alpine Symphony" by Richard Strauß, as he suddenly collapsed during the part called "On the Summit".

We have met the members and directors of the Young Philharmonic of Central Switzerland, who told us how wonderful and thrilling the music had been until that terrible moment. Dad died on the summit, he died happy. This gives us some comfort in this great sorrow, shock and huge vacuum that he has left behind.

Dad was a wonderful person, optimistic, full of energy and endless creativity. Dad - I love you and I thank you for everything.
